Strengthens families and communities by offering connections to resources such as food, housing, counseling, financial assistance, parenting classes and support groups, and more. Serves active duty, transitioning, and veteran military personnel, and their families. Services include parenting initiatives including Dad Corps fatherhood program, playgroups interactive parent/child fun workshops, and health and wellness initiatives including family yoga and access to a community garden. Additionally, offers other parenting workshops throughout the year and resource referrals. Staff provides the backbone support for the San Diego Military Family Collaborative including monthly coordination of SDMFC convening's and action teams to provide capacity building and education to social service organizations, ombudsman, command leadership, military spouses and military families.

  • Eligibility Requirements:Active or Retired Military, Families of Military Personnel/Veterans, Military Families in the Murphy Canyon and Cabrillo housing areas. Military association is not required for participation in all programs. Civilians are welcome to participate in playgroups and Bright Futures for Kids workshops.. No Documents Required
