Steps Adolescent Day Treatment and Outpatient, Mental Health Systems, Inc information provided by: County of San Diego Mental Health Services

Intensive day treatment and outpatient mental health services for abuse reactive adolescents. Outpatient services are also available at the Polinsky Children's Center. Intensive Day Treatment clients receive group therapy four times per week in addition to weekly individual and family therapy, community meetings, social skills building groups, medication assessment and monitoring. Client education is provided on-site by two San Diego Unified School District teachers and two instructional behavior technicians. Outpatient clients attend once a week for individual and group therapy and as needed for family therapy. Medication assessment and monitoring is available. Abuse reactive children placed at Polinsky Childrenâ??s Center receive individual and group therapy at the Center. Upon placement outside of the Polinsky Center, the clients have the opportunity to continue treatment through the Outpatient program.
