Alpha Project for the Homeless | Temporary Bridge Shelter

The Temporary Bridge Shelter for single adults ages 18 years and older, offers a safe place for persons experiencing homelessness to receive shelter and appropriate services needed while preparing for permanent housing placement. Residents will receive shelter, meals, access to partner service providers on and off-site, and a variety of other resources.

  • Eligibility Requirements:Homeless individuals ages 18 years and older who are referred through the Coordinated Entry System (CES).. No Documents Required. Intake must be completed through the Coordinated Entry System (CES) or Alpha Project's outreach team. Referral through the CES only. To learn more about the CES visit the Regional Task Force on the Homeless (RTFH) website: http://www.rtfhsd.org/resource-library/coordinated-entry-system/ To enter CES, clients must be literally homeless and complete a common assessment. The assessment is a tool that helps to inform a homeless client’s level of need and program eligibility. For a list of assessment locations, visit the RTFH website: http://www.rtfhsd.org/ or call 2-1-1 San Diego. Completing an assessment is not a guarantee of housing. After taking an assessment it is important to continue to attempt to access all other opportunities for housing.
