A full-service acute care hospital with a 24-hour emergency room. Offers diagnostic and outpatient treatment services as well as emergency and critical care services for people who may have a variety of illnesses or injuries that required immediate, short-term intervention. Programs and services include the Advanced Spine and Joint Institute, the San Diego Rehabilitation Institute and the Alvarado Surgical Weight-Loss Program, including the new non-surgical belly balloon, and the first Sexual Medicine Programs. Other programs include geriatric behavioral health, ears, nose and throat, cardiac services, endoscopy, neuroscience, orthopedics, general surgical services and vascular services, among others.
