Marketplace that connects Californians to accessible high-quality health insurance coverage. Through Covered California, both individuals and small businesses can compare different health insurance plans. Individuals can learn if they qualify for federal financial assistance that can lower the cost of health insurance. Individuals also will be able to find out if they are eligible for health programs like Medi-Cal. In addition, employers with fewer than 25 full-time workers will be able to find out if they qualify for a small business tax credit that can help cover the cost of providing employee health care. With the Affordable Care Act and Healthcare reform, Covered California is the acting California Health Benefit exchange. Open Enrollment for the 2020 benefit year starts October 15 and ends on January 31, 2020.
