Provides routine childhood and adolescent vaccines to protect against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, haemophilus influenza type B, pneumococcal diseases, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and meningococcal meningitis. Also provides routine adult vaccines to protect against tetanus, diphtheria, measles, mumps, and rubella. Adults with certain health conditions/risks may be eligible for the pneumococcal vaccine and hepatitis B vaccine. Influenza vaccines for persons 6 months and older are available each year beginning in the fall on a walk-in basis. Tdap (tetanus, pertusis and diphtheria) vaccines are also available to eligible persons.

  • Eligibility Requirements:The following individuals are eligible to receive immunizations at County Public Health Centers: 1. children and adults who do not have health insurance (adults-only certain vaccines available) 2. adults whose health insurance does not include vaccines (only certain vaccines available) 3. persons 0-18 years who are Alaskan Native or American Indian 4. persons 0-18 years who have Medi-Cal or are Medi-Cal eligible (children with Healthy Families are not eligible and should go to their provider for vaccines) 5. persons 6 months and older in need of influenza (flu) vaccine regardless of health coverage. Individuals are not eligible for vaccines if their insurance includes vaccinations, even if there are co-pays or deductibles.. California Immunization Card. Accepts walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment needed but if desired, appointments can be made online at https://onlineappts.hhsa-sdcounty.org. If you have one, please bring the California Immunization Record (Yellow Card) to every visit. Tuesday and Thursday appointments for adults must call to confirm before going.
