Impossible to speak with ANYONE! Couldn’t pay my bill online for weeks. Finally had to go to a local Wal-Mart to make a payment after 2 weeks. Don’t get a paper bill anymore. This place is worse than any third world country as far as sevices go. I doubt I’ll get a response, but it feels good to get it off my chest!

Stopped getting my water bill months ago. Spent two hours waiting on the phone for customer service. Got fed up and hung up.

Customer Service is horrible. Calling the phone number is an exercise in futility. No one ever answers. Have been trying for 3 days to speak to an agent.

Awful experience! Just trying to transfer service from tenant back into my name to insure continuity of service. I suggest you at least take numbers and returns calls in the order they were received. I suspect there aren’t any customer service agents. Just wondering, what ‘wait time’ you find is acceptable?

Waiting 3hrs to get get new water account for moving into new property. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Idk what to do at this point.

My bill went up over $100. No reason. I have turf no lawn. Waited hour on customer service. No answer. This is what paying my bill on time for over 30 years gets you. Terrible!

Water bill jumped from $400 to $700 in one cycle. Tried to call and was on hold for 1 hr 25min when they dropped my call! Where can we get some actual help? Who has the leverage to help us all who are being abused by San Diego Utilities dept? In my business I work with RSF Irrigation & Olivenhain Water District; both of whom answer their phones quickly and are extremely helpful. How tough is it to actually follow suit???

Have waited for almost 4 years for a water bill since purchasing my property. On hold now for just under 2 hours. Tax dollars at work!

Moved into our home in April 2021. Tried to set up water online. Called 4 - 6 times. Left callback number (as the automated system suggested). One time someone called me back. They said I needed to send proof of home purchase and several other documents to get Water Account set up. I did. 3 - 4 months later, and no response from Water Agency, other than to send me a paper letter saying we needed to set up a Water Account. Yes, that's what I'd been trying to do for MONTHS. Called and sat on wait 30 mins - 1+ hour each time, never getting to speak to someone. Calls either dropped, or I had to hang up. Now, November 2022 I get a bill in the mail for $multiple thousand dollars of water. They JUST set up my account in Nov 2022, and finally decided to send me a bill. I've called 4 times trying to speak to someone. I sent a message via the customer portal with screenshots of my account, and explaining the same story outlined above. They don’t answer calls on hold for hours and their payment system is bad and won’t take checking accounts to pay then only takes one time payment to 3rd party that charges a fee!
